A Tyg, popular in England from the 15th to the 17th centuries, is a pottery mug typically featuring three or more handles. Primarily made from earthenware clay, its distinctive multi-handled design allows several drinkers to share the same vessel, with each person using a separate handle and section of the rim. The numerous handles also facilitated passing hot drinks around a group without discomfort.
